Ohio company opens 100 CBD shops in seven months including 1 in central Pa. – PennLive

It seems like the CBD business is booming because CBD shops seem to be opening at a fast pace.

And an Ohio company is one of those companies that is expanding its CBD retail operation at a quick pace.

Green Growth Brands has opened its 100th Seventh Sense Botanical Therapy. And all of those one hundred openings have been in a seven month span from February with the 100th store opening on Aug. 8. And the company says that all of the shops are located in malls. One of those shops opened right here in the midstate. A Seventh Sense kisok opened at the Park City Center in Lancaster last month. The kiosk is located near center court.

Seventh Sense sells CBD-infused personal care and beauty products across the bath, body, face, therapeutic, and sleep categories.

Five other shops have opened in the state. Seventh Sense shops have opened at the King of Prussia Mall, Philadelphia Mills, Montgomery Mall, Lehigh Valley Mall, and the Monroeville Mall. Most of the shops in Pennsylvania opened in June and July.

What is CBD?

Cannabidiol, or CBD, is one of the major compounds found in the cannabis plant. Marijuana is a variety of Cannabis. So is hemp. Both marijuana and hemp contain CBD. But here’s a major difference: marijuana is heavy on tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC. THC is what causes the high. Hemp has no significant amount of THC. Some scientific studies have confirmed that CBD may help treat a variety of ailments like chronic pain and anxiety, according to Healthline.com.
