Hub City Hemp Is a Plus for Natural Remedies Users in Martin – Weakley County Press

To those suffering through the pains of carpal tunnel and arthritis, enduring the mental acrobatics of ADHD and Autism, and/or wanting to provide comfort to their ailing pets, Hub City Hemp Plus, 302 University, Martin, is open seven days a week and ready to introduce newcomers to the benefits of CBD oil.

The Martin location is one of four in West Tennessee. When it opened in October, the Hub City chain with its North Jackson, South Jackson, and Lexington stores, became the largest CBD retail establishment in West Tennessee. The owners, Chad Walker, Craig and Lori Chandler, say they were attracted to the “old-fashioned” feel of the former home-turned-business because it supports the warm, inviting feeling they hope to maintain in all their shops.

CBD is the popular term for Cannabidiol, a natural remedy that users attest helps to relieve pain, reduce anxiety, and alleviate symptoms such as nausea and vomiting often associated with cancer treatments. It is one of the chemical compounds found in the cannabis family of plants, is derived from hemp and is not psychoactive.

“Although cannabis and industrial hemp use is controversial, the overall health benefits are astounding. After researching the advantages of natural remedies, the use of CBD outweighs most pharmaceutical medications. We love being able to provide holistic approaches to common diagnoses and general well-being,” said co-owner Lori Chandler.

CBD can be packaged in oils, smokables, edibles, topicals and aromatherapy. At the Martin location, customers will find the flower, gummies and chocolate along with vegan options, vapes, lotions, bath-bombs, candles, and dog treats.

The owners are committed to having informed staff and encourage questions at the stores and online. They note that every product is extensively researched and examined before being offered to our customers.
