Dog Whisperer Productions has inked two new licensing deals for products inspired by the globally syndicated, long-running, multiple Emmy Award-nominated television series “The Dog Whisperer.” The deals are with European Home Designs, which makes dog toys, beds, and related products, and Unitrex, which offers newly-developed aromatherapy related products.
All American Licensing, the Dog Whisperer Production’s exclusive licensing agency, brokered both deals.
The Dog Whisperer licensing deal with European Home Designs will cover a comprehensive line up of products ranging from toys, dog beds, crate mats, blankets and throws, collars, leads, travel products, cooling mats, harnesses, grooming and cleaning, apparel to gift sets. Each Dog Whisperer product will incorporate specific training tips and unique messages for the dog owner to help reinforce the Dog Whisperer philosophy of improving the bond between the dog and the human, according to the company.
“Dog Whisperer is a wonderful television series that captivates and educates viewers—many of which are dog owners,” Jack Elbaz, president of European Home Design. “We are thrilled to work with this brand to create products for consumers to be able to become their own ‘Dog Whisperer’ to their pets.”
Concurrently, Unitrex’s Dog Whisperer licensing deal will be an expansion of its aromatherapy business to homes with dogs and will include a variety of diffusers, humidifiers, sprays and essential oils. Unitrex will debut its Dog Whisperer product line, including key new items like CBD blended essential oils, dog tags with “calming” oils, and air fresheners at next month’s Natural Products Expo – East, which will be held Sept. 12-15 in Baltimore.
“Unitrex is proud to expand its collection of health and wellness products to include a wide range of ‘dog friendly and pet safe aromatherapy,’” said Les Wagenheim, CEO of Unitrex. “Our leading brand in diffusers, essential oils, and now pure cannabidiol (CBD) hemp oil products is a perfect match for the most celebrated name in the pet industry.”
Episodes of the Dog Whisperer TV series are currently airing on the CW Network, after having played for 10 years on the National Geographic Channel. The series has received multiple, Primetime Emmy Award nominations, ALMA Awards, DGA Awards and Imagen Foundation Awards, along with a People’s Choice Award for “Favorite Animal TV Show.”
“Our selection of licensees truly match up with the mission of the Dog Whisperer brand, which is to bring innovative teaching elements with all Dog Whisperer themed products,” said Michael Gottsegen, co-founding partner at All American Licensing. “All new products will be authenticated with Dog Whisperer holograms distinguishing them from other similar merchandise.”
