Coca-Cola is reportedly examining the idea of entering the cannabis market, specifically infusing drinks with CBD oil.

CBD oil, otherwise known as cannabidiol, is a chemical compound in marijuana which helps treat pain and other symptoms without the ‘high’ of THC, another chemical compound found in the cannabis plant.

According to Bloomberg, Coca-Cola is talking with Aurora Cannabis -a marijuana producer in Canada- about developing CBD infused drinks. Coca-Cola becomes the latest company to examine adding CBD to it’s products, joining beer producers such as Diageo PLC (Guiness), Moson Coors Brewing Company, and Corona beer’s Constellation Brands Inc.
